Commercial
he property was taken over from architects Liddicoat and Goldhill whose work was shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA House of the Year, and winning a RIBA London Award, Sunday Times homes commendation, Manser Medal Shortlisting and NLA nomination the handmade Makers House is a new build detached family home in East London.
When we took it over, the house was adapted and decorated to fit our family life. The approach chosen towards the interior works has been one of contrast and balance of the industrial & raw materials look that the architecture presents. We opted for a colourful, eclectic atmosphere where furniture pieces from different styles are matched together and emphasis has been put on the use of various colours curtains and carpets everywhere in order to warm up the spaces. Plants have also been introduced throughout the house to bring the nature in.
